Final Exam: **AVAILABLE IN TESTING CENTER FROM 12/8/09 - 12/14/09


* Our calculus class is being broadcast to Airport Campus. Occasionally, I will be originating from the AC classroom. In that event, if you need help with a problem face to face, John Long will be available to do so. His office is directly beside mine. The dates I will be originating from Airport are as follows:

  • Originating from AC: 8/26, 9/16, 9/28, 10/7, 10/19, 10/28, 11/9, 11/8, and 11/30
  • Originating from BC: All other classes

    *LECTURE TOPICS - Stephen Phillips found a link you guys may find helpful. Khan Academy has free YouTube videos of all sorts of Calculus or Physics topics. All topics are explained in a very down to earth way. Great videos!

    *HOMEWORK HELP - Gene Taylor found a link you guys may find helpful. Calc Chat has worked out solutions to the odd textbook problems.

    ** Calculus I - Here is a great website that has video lectures given at MIT for their Calculus I class. Most of the topics covered are similar to ours, so if you need a refresher on a lecture, you can watch one of these videos!

    FYI: Testing details - Test 5 will be available in the testing center starting 11/19 until 12/4. BUT... I am going to try something new for this test. I am sending the testing center an electronic copy of Test 5. You will be able to see the questions on a computer screen and will have ample scratch paper to do work on. Hopefully this will cut down on our paper use. If the testing center has difficulty in administering the test this way please let me know quickly so I can call them - hensond@midlandstech.edu. Also, if you are one of the first students to take the test and it goes smoothly being given on the computer, shoot me an email and let me know. Thanks!
