to gather in remembrance of William David “Dave” Taylor, 57, of
Columbia will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials
may be made to Pets, Inc. 300 Orchard Dr., Box 6394, West Columbia, SC
29171. Shives Funeral Home is assisting the family.
Mr. Taylor died Saturday, May 24, 2008. Born in Columbia, he
was the son of the late Joe W. and Mary Poe Taylor. He taught at Midlands
Tech for 30 years. Dave loved nature and enjoyed many outdoor activities.
Dave is survived by his wife, Martha Clyde Taylor;
daughters, Carrie Taylor and friend, Brian Townes, Sonja Taylor, all of
Columbia; sister, Robbie Taylor and Betty Cooper of Cayce; brother-in-law,
Dean Clyde, Jr. of Columbia and Mema of Columbia. "
