Course Description: This course introduces microcomputer application software, including word processing, spreadsheets, database, and graphic presentation.

 

Course Objective: Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to perform the following tasks:

 

Be able to create resume, balance annual expenses, create address directories, and create presentation slides.

Academic Regulation on Absence: Your attendance is essential to pass this course.

Absences are limited to the number of times the course meets per week (i.e., meet twice a week = allowed 2 absences; meet 3 times a week = allowed 3 absences.  It is the responsibility of the student to sign the daily sign-in sheet.  Failure to do so will be considered an absence.

Student Responsibility for Honesty:  Any form of cheating will be punished under guidelines published in the student handbook.

100% - 90%  = A

89%  -  80%  = B

79% - 70%    = C

Less than 70% = not passing the course

 

One must earned at least 70% in the final comprehensive examination in order to pass the course.

 

Two projects will be assigned per semester to reinforce application of concept. The first project is due a week after the midterm examination while the second project is due a week before the final examination.
