INFORMATION SYSTEMS NETWORK
Certificate Program (ISN6)
DESCRIPTION:
A program designed to provide those professionals in the Information Systems divisions of local corporations the opportunity to broaden their understanding of the telecommunications environment. The curriculum is designed for data processing professionals, is designed to fill a gap between electronic science and computer data processing.
BEGINNING SEMESTERS: FALL, SPRING, SUMMER
CAMPUS: BELTLINE
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS:
Must be presently employed in the Information Systems profession.
GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS:
A minimum of 24 semester hours is required for certification.
PROGRAM NOTES:
- The certificate is designed to accommodate those individuals who are already employed in the telecommunications profession.
- Those individuals interested in this discipline and are not presently employed in the telecommunications profession should consider the Telecommunications Systems Management degree curriculum.
- Students must earn a grade of "C" or better in all of the courses offered within the Business and Information Systems Technology departments for the grade to count toward graduation. This includes courses with the following prefixes: ACC, BAF, BUS, CPT, CRP, IST, LEG, MGT, MKT and OST.
- Departmental Electives are three-credit hour courses taken within the Information Systems Department. Information Systems prefixes include OST, IST and CPT.
CPT 101- Introduction to Computers and OST 105-Keyboarding cannot be used as departmental electives.
