Math 010
Developmental mathematics is intended for students who need assistance in basic arithmetic skills. Instruction is based on assessments of student needs and includes performing the four arithmetic operations with whole numbers, fractions, decimals, percents and an introduction to measurement and algebraic and geometric concepts. Word-problem skills are emphasized. This course also introduces students to operations with integers and rational numbers and to solving linear equations.
Math 032 is a basic mathematics course with a little prealgebra added. Students are taught the basics of order of operations, integers, fractions, decimals, proportion, and percents. An introduction to algebra is included. Throughout the course, students are introduced to variables.
Math 032 is a distance learning course. Students use Digital Video Tutors (CDs for their computer) for instruction. The students must come to campus for some testing. MAT032 Internet Syllabus Fall '09
Math 100 is a prealgebra class. Students are taught to use integers, whole number exponents, simple polynomial operations, solving linear equations and graphing linear equations. This course is recommended for students that need Math 155 or Math 101. It is also a good follow-up course for Math 032 students.
Math 100 Online/Internet
Math 100 Online uses MyMathLab as the platform for learning. It is a distance learning course. This course is not self-paced. There is a schedule. However, it is flex-time in that students can choose when to work on the class. The Math 100 regular topics are covered. Students that have taken Math 032 are not recommended for this course.

All homework is done online using MyMathLab. Math 100 is a prealgebra class. Students are taught to use integers, whole number exponents, simple polynomial operations, solving linear equations and graphing linear equations. Students that have taken Math 032 are not recommended for this course.
