- producing accurate diagnostic records;
- maintaining an environment that adheres to current infection control
guidelines, safety regulations and patient privacy rights;
- recognizing and assisting in emergency procedures;
- designing, implementing and evaluating individualized patient
preventive therapies, as legally allowed;
- monitoring pain and anxiety control modalities, and
- applying specific therapeutic agents.
Demonstrate Critical Thinking and Effective Communication Skills by:
- performing office management procedures;
- establishing productive working relations with all members of the oral
health care team;
- acknowledging problems and using intervention skills in seeking feasible
solutions;
- exhibiting effective verbal and written communication skills, and
- presenting comprehensive patient care plans and explanations of
procedures.
Maintain Professional Growth and Perpetual Learning by:
- participating in continuing education experiences;
- reading and evaluating current professional literature, and
- applying new information to Expanded Duty Dental Assisting and health
practices.
Promote Community Health & Services by:
- recognizing the diversity in the various patient communities that affect
