Through MTC’s Associate in Arts/Associate in Science program, students can complete the equivalent of the first two years of a four-year college degree at a fraction of the cost. MTC offers degrees, certificates and diplomas in more than 120 programs of study to students wanting to enter the job market or enhance career skills.
Student opportunities. Call Me MISTER is a project seeking to recruit, train and assist in the certification of black males who are interested in becoming elementary school teachers in South Carolina's public schools. SCAMP is a program that focuses on increasing the number of underrepresented minority students who go on to pursue college and graduate degrees in the areas of science, technology, engineering and mathematics. The Teacher Quality PATHWAYS Project is for students planning a teaching career who begin their degree at Midlands Technical College and intend to finish at USC. The Title III Grant program addresses the needs of Developmental Studies students through individualized tutoring, counseling and advising, career development, and supplemental instruction.
