Avoiding Procrastination

“I sometimes wait until the last minute to study for an exam. How can I prevent procrastination?”
  • Break it down, what do you need to accomplish?
  • How much time do you have to realistically do the work?
  • Start small, by making a bulleted (not overly detailed) list of tasks: For BIO 210 test – review chapter 3 highlights; handout from chapter 4; chapter 5 list of terms; lab notes to identify samples.
  • Study your least preferred subjects first and leave the enjoyable subjects for last.
