Has Your CampusCruiser Account Been Dormant

So what is a dormant account and why should you be concerened about it?

The official definition of a dormant account is as follows: ""Dormant" members have let 365 days elapse without a login since their last login; mail is not received once "Dormant" is the status. "

This basically means, if you have not logged on to your CampusCruiser account in the past 365 days, it is no longer accepting messages from MTC, or anyone for that matter. If you have not been enrolled at MTC for over a year, this is not an issue as you are required to re-apply and will be assigned a new account at that time. But, if you have been attending, and are just now starting to use your MTC college provided account because of financial aid reasons, or a requirement from one of your professors, then you need to be aware of the following.

  1. When you log in for the first time, the system does NOT inform that your account has been dormant. It does show when you last logged on.

    last login

  2. Your account has not been receiving emails due to it being dormant.

If this date is over 365 days old, you account was DORMANT! This again means that you have not been receiving any emails. Once you log in, you account is again active and it will begin receiving emails.

So it is important to know about this as CampusCruiser DOES NOT inform that your account has been dormant and that you have not been receiving emails, but it does allow you to quickly re-activate your account by simply logging in. Also, any emails that you may have logged on to see, will not be there because of the account being dormant. If you know someone sent you something, you will have to contact them to resend the information again.

Keep your account active by frequently checking your email and keeping your account maintained.
