The Basic Industrial Maintenance certificate prepares students for employment as entry-level industrial maintenance technicians. The development and delivery of the industrial maintenance training will be a collaborative partnership between Midlands Technical College’s Industrial Technologies Department and their Continuing Education Department with the help of local industrial companies. The State Board for Technical and Comprehensive Education is currently aligning the Industrial System Maintenance curriculum with the National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER) ContrenTM Modules.
Students are required to purchase a set of small hand tools at an approximate cost of $50.
Courses taken in this program may be applied toward the AOT degree program if the student later elects to pursue the degree.
