Web Design and Maintenance Certificate
(May be incorporated into a 2-year A.O.T. degree)
The Web Design and Maintenance certificate provides the student a knowledge base for supporting a Web site. The student should gain the fundamentals of good Web design, the fundamentals of connecting to a database and the fundamentals of programming for interactive Web pages. Moreover, the student should be able to work cooperatively in a team to maintain an enterprise web site and assist in keeping the content of the Web site current.
Students may want to work with their advisors to incorporate this certificate's requirements into an associate degree in Occupational Technology (A.O.T.). The 2-year A.O.T. degree, after being tailored to meet a students needs, would carry approximately the same total credit hour requirement as other Computer Technology degrees (about 72 credit hours). (To receive financial assistance, veterans must have prior approval of their programs by a VA counselor.)
