Marketing

Midlands Technical College's Business Department provides an innovative, up-to-date learning environment that enables individuals to achieve their personal, professional and educational goals for the purpose of contributing to the economic growth of the community.

Marketing is concerned with the distribution of goods and services from the producer to the consumer. The field of marketing has emerged as a dominant factor in the economy of the country.

Marketing graduates develop skills in sales, advertising, marketing research and techniques for acquiring marketing information. Graduates may be eligible for positions in product planning and merchandising, advertising, sales and sales promotion, and marketing.

This program is accredited by the Association of Collegiate Business Schools and Programs.

Students must earn a grade of "C" or better in all of the courses offered within the Business and Information Systems Technology departments for the grade to be counted toward graduation. Specifically, these include courses with the following prefixes: ACC, BAF, BUS, CPT, CRP, IST, LEG, MGT, MKT and OST.
