Local business and community partners play a huge role in the ASSIST Program. Regional business leaders guide program content and curriculum to ensure that students learn the skills and competencies required by global employers. This is accomplished by partnering, surveying and assessing regional businesses’ needs to help to develop specific educational courses and advanced technical skills required for today’s workforce.
The collaborative efforts of the ASSIST staff, regional businesses and community partners proved and establish educational opportunities; internships, on-the-job training, and apprenticeship programs that help build resumes, secure full-time employment, and provide other resources.
For more information on how your business or community agency can partner with the Midlands Technical College ASSIST Program, contact the ASSIST Program Director at 803-822-3798 or email@example.com.
