WEB DESIGN AND MAINTENANCE CERTIFICATE

Certificate Program (WDM6)

This certificate may be incorporated into a 2 year A.O.T. Degree.

 

DESCRIPTION:
The Web Design and Maintenance Certificate will provide the student a knowledge base for supporting a Web site. The student should gain the fundamentals of good Web design, the fundamentals of connecting to a database and the fundamentals of programming for interactive Web pages.

BEGINNING SEMESTER: Fall, Spring, Summer

CAMPUS: Beltline

ADMISSIONS REQUIREMENTS:
CPT 170, CPT 236 or Departmental Approval

GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS:
A minimum of 30 semester hours is required for graduation.

PROGRAM NOTES:

  1. The student should be able to work cooperatively in a team to maintain an enterprise web site and assist in keeping the content of the Web site current.
  2. The emphasis will be on database application development.
  3. Departmental Electives are three-credit hour courses taken within the Information Systems Technology department. Information systems Technology course prefixes include IST and CPT.
    CPT 101 - Introduction to Computers cannot be used as departmental electives.
