ASSET READING PLACEMENT INFORMATION


 Students are placed in reading courses based on their reading assessment test scores.

If the Reading Score Is The Student Should Enroll In
30 - 34
 RDG 032
*35 - 39
 RDG 100
38 - 39
 RDG 010**
*40 - 44 RDG 101


* Some students with reading scores in this range do not need to enroll in reading courses if their programs' entry scores are lower than the highest score in the range. Check the appropriate program sheet (associate degree, diploma, certificate) in this manual for minimum entry level reading scores.

ASSET ENGLISH PLACEMENT INFORMATION


 Students are placed in English courses based on their writing sample score and their reading score.

If Reading Score IS AND Writing Sample Score IS Student Enrolls IN
NA 1 or 10 ENG 032
30 - 34 20 or 30 No English until Reading
Prerequiste is completed
35 and above 20 *ENG 100

ENG 150
38-39 20 ENG 010**

Students are placed in Math courses based on both their numerical (arithmetic) and elementary Algebra assessment test scores in addition to their reading skills.
