EARLY CHILDHOOD DEVELOPMENT
Certificate in Public Service (ECD)
DESCRIPTION:
A program designed for individuals entering the field of child care and early education as well as those who are already employed and wish to upgrade their knowledge and skills.
BEGINNING SEMESTERS: Fall/Spring/Summer
CAMPUS:Airport and Beltline (day, evening, and weekend classes)
PLACEMENT TEST SCORES REQUIRED TO ENROLL IN CURRICULUM COURSES:
GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS:
A minimum of 27 semester hours is required with a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0 or better.
PROGRAM NOTES:
- Students must successfully complete 18 hours of required Early Childhood Development courses.
- Students enrolling in ECD 107 must complete SLED and DSS forms prior to enrollment; Forms are available from the Program Director.
- Non-Traditional Students on TEACH Scholarships will need to adjust their schedules to meet TEACH requirements. TEACH will pay for one class the first semester, two classes the second semester and up to three classes for each additional semester, as the student is able.
