CHEMICAL TECHNOLOGY

Certificate Program (CHT6)


DESCRIPTION:
A program designed to offer hands-on, fast-track career training and laboratory preparation for careers in the chemical processing industry.

BEGINNING SEMESTER: FALL

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS FOR PROGRAM ADMISSION:  

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • MTC Placement test minimum scores as follows:
ASSET SCORES OR COMPASS SCORES OR COURSEWORK
RDG 40 Reading Skills: RS 80 "C" in RDG 100
MAT NUM-40 EALG-48 IALG-40 Pre-Algebra Skills: PA 44 Algebra Skills: ALG 76 "C" in MAT 102
ENG WSAMP 30 ENG WSAMP 30 "C" in ENG 100

 

GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • A minimum of 35 semester hours is required for graduation.
  • Students must receive a grade of "C" or better in all courses listed in curriculum.

PROGRAM NOTES:

  1. Developmental Studies classes are available to students who wish to pursue this certificate but who do not meet the minimum ASSET or COMPASS scores or grade requirements listed above.
