BASIC COMPUTER MAINTENANCE

Certificate in Engineering Technology (BCM6)

DESCRIPTION:
This certificate is designed to provide students with basic computer and local area network installation and maintenance skills. Essential hardware and software knowledge required to pass the A+ Certification Exam is presented in this program.

BEGINNING SEMESTERS:
Students may enter the program any semester; however, the Fall Semester provides optimum availability of courses for full-time day students.

A minimum of 12 semester hours is required for graduation.

PROGRAM NOTES:

  1. This certificate is intended to be the pre-requisite for the Advanced Computer Systems Certificate.
  2. Taken together, the Basic Computer Maintenance Certificate and the Advanced Computer Systems Certificates provide the skills required to be a competent technician in the manufacturing, sales, installation, and maintenance of computer and other electronic systems.
