Why I chose MTC

I have always wanted to start off in a small college where I could connect with my teachers and fellow classmates. When I went to the orientation at a four-year college downtown, I was overwhelmed, confused, and scared to death. At the last minute I decided to attend late registration at MTC, because my mom has always talked about what a good college experience she had there and how much she has enjoyed being a professor there. I also considered that at MTC I could take classes around my work schedule. In high school, I received the Life Scholarship and I am able to use my award for two years at a two-year college along with two years at a four-year college. I was able to pay for new books, fall, spring, and summer classes, materials that I have needed, and still had money left over. Of course no college is going to be cheap, but MTC works with its students by offering scholarships, contests, and jobs within the college. I am honestly glad that I enrolled when I did and have no regrets about my decision of being a student at MTC.
