Control Stress with Preparation

One thing you have to be aware of in college is stress! Again, I am a mom, a wife and I am involved in many other facades of life, so I know about stress! My advise to you is DO NOT PROCRASTINATE!

If you have papers to be done, do them early. The worst thing you can do is wait until the last minute to do a paper. If you are anything like me you’ll see why. I will set my mind to write about one thing, and while I am writing about that, new ideas come.

It’s the same way when studying for a test. I know there are those of you out there who have that ability to past a test without opening a book. But there are those who have to study. If you are taking more than two or more classes, use a planner. It WORKS! Plan out your study time and keep on TOP of your syllabus. I’ve heard too many students who were not paying attention to their syllabus say, “Oh, that was due already?” You will always have some level of stress, but to be STRESSED OUT is not good. The key to less STRESS, is PREPARATION. A prepared person does not get caught off guard, but a slacker will pay the price of being STRESSED OUT!
