Why did I select MTC? Now that is a very good question. I would have to say for starters, I did because I wanted a school that cared about me as a person and not a number. Being an older student, in my late, very late 40's, it matters to me to know MTC cares I am there. For me, it is like starting all over again, and to have a college that cares about me as a person is the best feeling to have. When I first started at MTC last fall, I was scared. But I was excited more, because I was going to achieve my dream of having a degree in Accounting. MTC feels like home to me, along with the fact that the teachers and staff of this great college are to help you achieve the goal you have set out to do. There is something my mother always said when she was alive, “There is no such word as can't.” So, with those words of wisdom, I know I can achieve my goal with the help of MTC. And my dreams, no matter what my age, I will never stop learning. I tell anyone one who is thinking about going to college or going back, but don't think they can or have the time, MTC has classes for anyone at times to fit your life. The time is now to become who we dream, or what we dream – MTC is there for us to use. And use it I will. Thank you, MTC. |
